    I created a new role which is a copy (inherit capabilities) of the existing role and changed the user’s role to it and it works but the original role doesn’t. How can this be???

    Hi sasha17,

    With the latest AAM release, if you filter admin menu (on Backend Menu tab) it also restrict access to it. The typical mistake that most people do is to restrict access to Dashboard menu (this menu is default screen that each logged in user is redirected).

    Make sure that your user or user role has at least two menus unchecked: Dashboard and My Profile.

    I had all the backend menus checked and that’s how it worked before. Now I unchecked them and it works.
