Access control on WP 5.9 and Twenty Twenty Two theme

We have been using this plugin as a small non-profit cooperative during the last year and it has been extremely useful.

With the arrival of WordPress 5.9 and the new default theme, Twenty Twenty Two, we are considering the jump to Full Site Editing (FSE). But we wouldn’t want to give up our Ultimate Member setup, especially the feature that allows us to hide or limit access to parts of the content.

We have these two settings activated in our test setup with Wp 5.9 and Twenty Twenty Two:
– Settings / Access / Activate content restriction settings for Gutenberg blocks
– Settings / Misc / Activate Gutenberg blocks

The visibility of categories, tags, pages and blocks can still be controlled as usual, and we can also control the visibility of specific blocks inside posts or pages.

But those controls are not available when editing templates with the new site editor. This means we cannot restrict parts of a template (which would be great) or, more importantly, menus. The old menu editing system is gone with this new default theme and there seems to be no way of restricting parts of a menu with the new system.

Is there something else we need to set up, or is WP 5.9 with TT2 theme just not fully compatible or implemented yet? We would love to know if there are any plans regarding this, so we can decide if (or when) we should use this theme and take advantage of its FSE capabilities.
