• Hello
Hope somebody can help me …
I am in accesibility mode in the widget page and trying to go back to the normal drag & drop mode but when I clivk on options the message given is to activate the accesibility mode (even though I am already in the accesibility mode) … it seems that WP thinks I am not in accesibility mode …

Also I have several WP set up’s on the same hosting solution and all my set up’s have the same issue …

Can somebody please assist me in fixing this

    In advance thanks

    cath

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    Hi Esmi

    I have tried
    – deactivating all plugins
    -switching to the default theme
-resetting the plugin folder by FTP
    and none worked

On the last solution you suggest … will I not loose any data when doing this … I am not a WP expert and am worried to loose data (posts, set up, …)if I delete all the old files & folders do I not take a risk loosing stuf … or is this safe … I am fine with FTP ??

    Thanks

also this issue is affecting all the sites I have on my hosting therefore are you suggesting I need to do this on all sites or just on one of them to fix the issue ?

one more piece of info … I have tried to disable accesibility mode on my mobile device and this works ok … but does still not work on the pc version … it is not a cache issue as I have tried on several pc’s … but the issue does seem to be limited to the PC version of wordpress and not the mobile version … if this makes sense …

    Thanks

will I not loose any data when doing this

No. Your site’s content is all stored in your database – with the exception of uploaded media files stored in the wp-content folder. So as long as you avoid that folder, you will be fine. All you are doing is uploading a fresh set of WordPress core files.

thanks but I have tried the upload of the new files and still does not work on the site I updated … did you see my note about disabling accesibility mode working on my mobile device but that it still does not work on pc devices … and is not due to cache … do not know if this info can bring further light on how to fix this …

    Thanks

    Site url?

I have sent you the URL through your private adress link … thanks for any additinal views you would have … you can see on the site that the widgets on a pc browser are not working properly but on a mobile device they are … which based on my research seems to be linked to the accesibility mode option which I am unable to change in the PC version … thanks

Your site is not using the default 2014 theme and is currently running multiple plugins.
