acces the root folder in wordpress

  • I am trying to set a sitemap for my blog and I want to access the root folder to be able to do so. Can anyone tell me where the root folder is found in themed wordpress template twenty twelve.

  • The root folder for your site can be accessed directly at your server either through your host’s cPanel or with a program such as FileZilla and an FTP (or preferably SFTP) connection. To do either, talk with your host and also have someone there show you where you can find your site’s “root” folder.
