• Hi,

I need some advice on accepting payments online.

I’m building a website for selling online graphic design services. Which means there are no fixed prices. The price depends on the design’s size, complexity, colour etc.

The idea is that a customer will fill out a design form, I will review it and determine how much the design will cost and send them a quote via Email.

What’s the best practise for accepting payments for a custom priced service online? Do I ask for a direct bank transfer? Do I send the customer to a checkout page on my website? Which plugin would you recommend?

    Thanks in advance

P.S. The price range of the service is $45-500$. Nothing extreme.

  • Where are you based? That makes a whole lot of difference in which payment gateways are available to you, and which plugins are available for those gateways.

    I’m based in Lithuania.

I currently have WooCommerce with Stripe and PayPal setup. I have disabled the WooCommerce Cart functionality with a plugin and allow only 1 product purchase at a time. This allows me to just use the checkout functionality.

I was thinking to create a bunch of separate products with different prices ranging from $45 to $500 and give customers links to a checkout page with the appropriate cost.

But I thought there might be a more effective way of accepting payments.
