    Usage of SSL doesn’t really have anything to do with a job application.

    SSL is for over all security for your website.

    That said. It is NEVER a good idea to use personal identifying information (PII) such as Social Security Numbers in a Resume nor should you ever ask for that in an application unless you know that data is secured not only via PII certified infrastructure but your server should also have SSL

    Thanks for the reply. I guess I knew that already I was just trying to see a work around for not having one. But ultimately I need to get one.

    The other reason for moving to an SSL sooner rather than later is Google is moving rankings of websites more into the haves and have-not’s. Meaning having an SSL may also improve your over all Search rankings soon too.
