Accept Complians Cookies reappearing

    Some of our users complained that their Complianz popup keeps reappearing after accepting. This is especially annoying because you have to accept it before filling out a form. As far as we know this happens on chrome but not with all our users. Any idea how to fix this? I saw some people with the same problem but haven’t found the solution yet.

    Hoi @vdnmanuel,

    I’m not yet able to reproduce this, and therefore it’s really hard to debug anything that I can’t see.

    If a user has this issue and is willing to cooperate with finding the reason, it’s great to know the sequence of steps, what they see. What the values are of the cookie cmplz_banner-status, what browser they’re using, extensions if possible.

    You can ask a user if it happens on complianz.io as well, making sure it’s not specific to your website, but either the browser or Complianz.

    Tried with 2 users who had the problem, and they don’t have the problem on the Complianz website. Here’s 2 videos of the problem happening. Any idea what can trigger this problem on this website specific?

    Hi @vdnmanuel,

    While I can’t test with the form as shown in your video (the deadline was reached): I see that you’re visiting the site over http, instead of https.

    If you provide consent on the http version of the site and then visit the https version afterwards, the banner is expected to re-appear as this is a different URL.

    If that is indeed the cause of the behavior on your end, a solution would be redirecting the http version of the site to https (an easy way to do so would be by using the Really Simple SSL plugin).
