accented charcters in shipping adress not stored in DB

    Hi,

    using the 3.8.8 version in a WP 3.7.1 instance in french causes the problem that the shipping address for an order is not correctly saved in the according field of the DB ‘s postmeta. The address is always chopped/ends where it has an accented character, which are quite current in french addresses. The function saving the order details to the db seems not to be capable to deal with accented characters or UTF8 …

    any help will be appreciated
