Accent mark

    Hello,

    I’m having issue to use accent marks on any section of wordpress, it doesn’t matter the theme or plugins installed, alway when I use a accent mark the letter is deleted.

    Example: I add the word to a page “Estratégico” when update the page is stay as “Estratgico” without the “é”.

    The character encoding I’m using utf8, this is set in the wp-config.php.
    Also checked the tables and database encoding is utf8_general_ci.

    With the keyboard.
    Making some testing I realize that this is not related only to wordpress, it’s happening with joomla or phpbb too.

    For testing, try entering the ascii for a few characters and see if that works.

    Tried with ascii code and it worked for the @ but this one ? disappear after update the page.

    I solved it, don’t know why but mbstring.internal_encoding was set to japan changed it to UTF-8 and all is working now.
