Accent incensitive search

Hello.
The plugin works great but unfortunately it is accent sensitive.
The site is in Greek and the search terms “τελ?ρο” and “τελαρο”, give different results.
This is a big problem. I need the search to be accent insensitive.
The database collation is utf8_general_ci
Is there a way to fix this?
