• Using the free version it’s not possible to push the changes in the production website. And don’t try to migrate the database and files to the main website: it will be possible to see the website just if logged in. Completely pointless.

@mariograsso8 Yes, with the free version you can not move the website to the live site automatically. Did you do not read the description of the plugin?

There is a big link in the header of the plugin which links to an article that explains how to move the site manually to the live site.

    > it will be possible to see the website just if logged in. Completely pointless.

No, this is not caused by WP Staging. So I assume you did anything manual which lead to that error. I need to ask you friendly to change the wordings of your review because it’s just a wrong fact and false claim.

    Thank you!

Your plugin is a trap, because the free version is completely useless and the user should pay to solve the problem.

I was thinking that your plugin could be time saver for me, but finally I spent few hours more than expected to transfer the updates to the production website because THERE’S NO EASY WAY TO DO IT WITH YOUR PLUGIN. And please, stop saying that you wrote a page in your documentation with the instruction to push changes in the main website, because what there’s written in that page could he easily resumes with 4 words: BUY THE PRO VERSION.

What made me angry is that the description is misleading. I saw the page where you describe the procedure to push changes, but you even not mention that it’s valid just for the paid version! You should just sell your plugin, not creating a trap where the only way to don’t waste hours of work is paying a pro version to the developer. For sure it’s my fault if I didn’t check properly what the plugin was really able to do, but the description is not honest at all.

So, at the and, I can change the words you didn’t like in the previous message: it’s not pointless, it’s a trap.

The whole database database chapter in the how to article https://wp-staging.com/docs/install-wp-staging/ explains how to move the database without using WP Staging Pro. I’ve written that article to explain how to move the database without purchasing WP Staging Pro. If the steps are too complicated to follow then I am sorry but migrating a WordPress website is a complex task.

    Have a good day

    Dear Author,

You never written article about how to manually push to live. You keep sending us back to a page which talks about PRO version.

If you are a genuine author, please write an article exclusively for the manual update. Even if it is 500 words.

You are being very deceptive, we have paid for many good plugins and I have no problem paying, but I feel cheated. This makes me spend and write for 1 hour about your deceptiveness.

The worst part is you put the staging DB on the LIVE site DB.

    Hello @solodave99

    please read the article carefully:
    https://wp-staging.com/docs/copy-staging-site-to-live-site/

    It explains both methods.

    The first line even says:

If you want to do the migration without the pro version, read the instructions below very carefully and do not left out any step!

I am sorry but there is no easy way to do the migration manually but if you follow the guide carefully you are able to move your staging site to the live.
