• This plugin is showing that my 20 pages are considered orphan content yet each page has a link in the main menus and some even in the footer of pages yet its telling me they are orphaned.

I have reached out to the developer for support in the forum and 5 days later they have yet to address the post. This is Yoast SEO premium that I paid for and cant get any help from the developers.

This tells me that this has become a completely garbage plugin with absolutely not more support from the developers. Looks like I will be requesting a refund of my money or just handing this over to my lawyer to deal with.

Either way if did it over again I WOULD NOT waste my money paying for Premium and never will again..

    Thanks for no help whatsoever!

  • Hi @agon024,

    Thanks for your comment.

First of all, please let me apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. I see that you’ve created a support topic here and that it hasn’t been answered yet. Our support agents take care of the plugin forum daily so it’s a matter of time that they address your ticket. As you’re a premium user, it’d be best if you could contact our premium support directly. This way, you’ll get your question answered more quickly via email.

As for the issue you’re experiencing, Yoast SEO Premium considers orphaned content any page that has no internal links from other pages of your website. Note that only links from inside the WordPress post editor are recognized because ‘links’ in this case means: contextual links. If the content is linked to from navigational bars, menus, sidebars or footers, but lacks text links, it’s still considered orphaned content. The reason for this is that text links provide both users and search engines with context and therefore, add more value.

If you still have questions, feel free to contact premium support so that we can provide you with personal assistance.

So you only answer my support ticket after I post a negative review and state that I am a premiums user?!?!?!?!?!?! IT TOOK 7 DAYS!!! 7 days to get a response and that was only after posting this review.

I stand by my ZERO stars and the claim of GARBAGE SUPPORT!!! Your support is horrible and for that I WILL be contacting premium support and demanding my money back.

Apparently you only offer support to paying customers. SHAME ON YOU!!!!!

    Hi @agon024,

    Thanks for following up.

We perfectly understand that you wanted your question to have been answered sooner. Unfortunately, we don’t have unlimited resources and, although we handle the support forum frequently, we can’t guarantee a given response time for the questions asked by our users.

That said, we would like to clarify that there’s no need to leave a negative review or become a premium customer to receive support. The plugin support forum and the Knowledge Base, as well as all the SEO posts we write on our blog, are open to everyone including users of the free Yoast SEO plugin.
