Absolute WordPress beginner

  • Hi,

    Im a web graphic designer and im fairly new to wordpress.

    I have used premade wordpress themes before and built up on them but would like to start building my own themes as more serious clients are coming in.

    I dont know where to start from as im a complete beginner on wordpress and HATE coding, especially PHP.

  • There supposedly are Theme Builder programs out there, but my advice would be either to get really comfortable as a PHP programmer, or just to drop the idea entirely. It really is like tying one hand behind your back to try and build themes for “serious clients” just using CSS and other HTML skills without PHP.

    Obviously, teaming up with a PHP programmer is another approach.
