• Hi, I have a multiple server WP installation and I need a single NFS image depository for my author’s. So, i need to know if is it possible to move my upload files directory somewhere OUTSIDE the Blog URI.

This is my actual “upload” configuration:

    /usr/local/apacheXX/htdocs/mydamnblog/wp-content/upload
    (and everything works perfectly)

    I need this:

    /nfs/blogfiles/
(but when i put this on Options/Misc/Upload Directory it stop working as itn put the path in:

    usr/local/apacheXX/htdocs/mydamnblog/nfs/blogfiles/

    And obviously it doesn’t work…

So, is there a wey to put absolute paths for the upload directory???

    THNKS!!

  • Is there any feedback on this? I’m trying to do the same thing…

No, this cannot be done. WordPress will not allow paths outside of its own directory, for security reasons.

Make a symlink to the directory if you really need to use a separate directory.
