Absolute NoGo and pure greed

  • ENGLISH: It’s unbelievable how greedy people act here – an absolute NoGo! According to WordPress, there are over 100,000 installations of this plugin. I also used it for a long time with the few free features. Some use the mobile menu on many websites – and overnight, by an unannounced update without any warning, the plugin loses a large part of the free features, for which you should pay from now on! The plugin is simply NOT usable anymore! Instead of the menu only the shortcode appears on the website, the menu is gone. No longer usable! So suddenly quite a few websites are useless, because they don’t have a working menu anymore – instead they try to “force” people to buy the pro version, because otherwise the website is not usable anymore for the time being! This is pure greed, absolutely irresponsible and the person responsible should be ashamed! But probably they planned to get as many users as possible to use the previous plugin-version – to then rip them off in their need to get the website working again as soon as possible.     GERMAN: Es ist unfassbar, wie raffgierig hier gehandelt wird – ein absolutes NoGo! Laut WordPress gibt es über 100.000 Installationen dieses Plugins. Ich habe es auch lange Zeit mit den wenigen kostenlosen Funktionen genutzt. Manche nutzen das mobile Menü auf vielen Webseiten – und von heute auf morgen, durch ein nicht angekündigtes Update ohne jegliche Warnung, verliert das Plugin einen Gro?teil der kostenlosen Funktionen, für die man ab jetzt zahlen soll! Das Plugin ist schlichtweg NICHT mehr nutzbar! Statt dem Menü erscheint nur noch der Shortcode auf der Webseite, das Menü ist weg. Nicht mehr zu gebrauchen! Damit sind auf einmal etliche Webseiten nutzlos, weil sie kein funktionierendes Menü mehr haben – stattdessen wird versucht, jemanden zum Kaufen der Pro-Version zu “zwingen”, weil sonst die Webseite vorerst nicht mehr nutzbar ist! Das ist pure Raffgier, absolut verantwortungslos und die verantwortliche Person sollte sich sch?men! Aber vermutlich haben sie geplant, dass so viele Nutzer wie m?glich das bisherige Plugin-Version verwenden – um sie dann in ihrer Not abzuzocken, damit die Webseite schnellstm?glich wieder funktioniert. Abartig!

    I understand your frustration, sorry about the experience you are having. We recently did a major re-factor of the code to comply with recommended WordPress standards. As a part this exercise we had to remove 3.x code & UI from the latest version of plugin.

    Just to re-imphasis – We have not removed ANY free features and put them behind a paywall, this confusion is arising from the fact that you are now seeing the new v4.x UI (which was infact released almost a year ago).

    All your existing functionalities & features are still intact, however you may need to explore the UI to find the relevant option as we have moved things around to make the plugin modern & easy to use. Still, if you find any feature was free but now its removed or has been moved to paid plugin, let me know I will check with the team and revert back quickly.

    Please update to the latest version if you see any issues.
