After a weeks of trying, cleaning my cache, regenerating data we realized the biggest problem was the W3 Plugin.

    Hello @digitalmind1

I am sorry for the experience you had with the W3 Total Cache.
I was hoping to find a wp.org topic opened by you for any issues or any bug reports via the W3 Total Cache support channel, however, I was not able to find any.
We would be more than happy to assist you with the configuration and answer any questions regarding any issues you may have encountered with the W3 Total Cache.
The optimal W3 Total Cache configuration takes into account a number of factors: your theme, your plugins, and the technologies available on the server Since everyone’s site and traffic and theme are different, there is no one-size-fits-all solution.

What also needs to be taken into account are the idiosyncrasies of Web Performance Optimization (WPO) in a WordPress context. What this means is t that mean? It means that WPO best practices have to be modified for WordPress because of how the application operates. The number of counter-intuitive realities could fill a small book.

This means that the best configuration for your site might not involve enabling minify, database caching, and other things that you might expect. As a matter of fact, it can actually hurt performance by implementing features for the wrong situation.

This being said, we would be happy to help, so please let me know what was the issue you were experiencing, as only a minor tweak may be needed in the configuration, and it would also help us understand how we can improve the W3 Total Cache.

    Thanks!

    Hi Marko,
Sorry to disappoint you but since I installed W3 Total Cache my product pages have started to behave abnormal. The variables went missing, product images were changing to whatever they liked , it didn’t print the price on product pages, my woocommerce deposit plugin went missing and the list goes on.
I have completely removed the plugin. I don’t have any cache related commands in my htaccess file and I deleted all my folders from wp-config. However I would like to know is this plugin leaves any traces in the database?

    Hey @digitalmind1

    Thank you for your feedback.
I am sorry to hear that. W3 Total Cache is a robust plugin and as I mentioned before, there is a chance that only some minor tweak was needed. The things you mentioned are also very interesting becuse the things you are saying were never reported before.
If you re-consider, and re-install the W3 Total Cache we would be more than happy to assist you with any type of configuration, and you can reach out to us via the W3 Total Cache support channel in Performance>Support, the website contact form, ot the wp.org topic.
To answer your question, W3 Total Cache does not leave any residual files in the database. If you used the Google Page speed feature you may want to check w3tc_pagespeed_data

Once again, I am sorry about the experience you’ve had with the W3 Total Cache and I hope that we can fix the problems togehther in the future

    Thanks!
