• Hello,

I have a problem with the setting “above the fold” CSS code in connection with Firefox. Since the last update of Firefox, my cookie box is only loaded in the footer and also displayed in the footer. This means that the page scrolls to the footer and only then is the cookie box displayed.

If I deactivate the option “above the fold” CSS code it works. With Chrome and Edge, it works even if the function is activated, only not in Firefox.

How can I solve the problem? It is the Borlabs cookie plugin.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

hmm, you’re missing a / at the start of your above the fold CSS (as start of the comment), maybe that fixes it? if not try generating the above the fold elsewhere, problem will be somewhere in that code ..

Unfortunately adding “/” did nothing. The cookie box is loaded in the “footer area”, which means that the user starts reading at the end of the page …

I received the following information from the developer, maybe this will help: “… we set accessibility attributes such as the information that our cookie box is a dialog.”

Can you somehow exclude the Borlabs plugin (for the cookie box) from the code? Or what’s the problem? The funny thing: everything worked without problems until the update of Firefox Quantum, but no longer after the latest update and only in the Firefox browser.

given the problem goes away when disabling “above the fold CSS”, the problem is with the above the fold CSS, so this is not something that can be solved elsewhere Chigolo :-/ Try generating it elsewhere mabye (the FAQ has links to some other tools)?

Unfortunately, the proposed generators for the critical CSS did not help, the error persists.

No idea to be honest Chigolo. Might required manual tinkering with the “above the fold”-CSS to get it just right :-/
