Hey! I do wonder about some points, considering usability and possibilities of WooCommerce Payments:

So we do have a GmbH in Switzerland that currently sells online to Germany.

Finding great payment gateways is really a challenge.

Braintree should be avoided because you cant contact anybody.

Stripe is super high in transaction fees

Gateways from Switzerland like Wallee or Payrexx are fine. Payrexx is on the higher side of transaction fees, Wallee is not. BUT both are rarely supported by any Upsell Downsell Checkout plugin or Express Checkout.

That’s why I was shocked when I just found WooCommerce Payments.

It seems to be a payment gateway / provider as well?! And its transaction fees are a dream.

But I learned one thing about payment providers: never rejoice too soon.

We would need to offer customers in Germany the following payment providers:

    Visa
    Mastercard
    American Express
    Klarna Sofort
    PayPal
    Apple Pay
    Google Pay

Not so sure if PayPal can only be added to the pack through PayPal itself? But the rest seems to exist, at least on the list of transaction fees listed within WooCommerce payments docs?

So would I be able to accept payments through these methods by using WooCommerce Payments?

Also: I assume that WooCommerce Payments can be used together with most WooCommerce funnel builder plugins?

    With kind regards
    Chris

  • Hi @chris15326

    Thanks for reaching out!

    Visa
    Mastercard
    American Express
    Klarna Sofort
    PayPal
    Apple Pay
    Google Pay

I understand that you are interested in the WooCommerce Payments plugin to be your payment gateway for your site but would love to know if the payment options above are supported, is that correct?

Firstly, I checked that Germany is one of the supported countries of the plugin.

With WooCommerce Payments, we provide an integrated payments solution to get you up and running quickly, without setup costs or monthly fees. You get:

    – Credit and debit card acceptance.
    – Local payment methods.
    – Automated deposits to your bank account.

Furthermore, it currently supports Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link by Stripe. Additionally, Sofort is also listed as one of the available payment methods too.

Not so sure if PayPal can only be added to the pack through PayPal itself?

As for PayPal, WooCommerce PayPal Payments is our recommended PayPal extension.

Also: I assume that WooCommerce Payments can be used together with most WooCommerce funnel builder plugins?

We cannot guarantee the compatibility of our plugin to all, if not, most of the funnel builder plugins available. But you could always try our plugin, please note we have a 30-day refund policy.

If the product doesn’t work the way you need it or you think another product would work better, we are more than happy to offer a full refund. You can read more about our refund policy on our website here.

    Hi there @chris15326 ??

A okay! Great. But it appears that the WooCommerce PayPal Payments plugin has a lot of negative reviews, criticizing that it doesn’t work reliable?

While reviews can vary, like WooCommerce store setups, it is always best to try out for yourself and form your personal opinion.

The PayPal Payments plugin is a free download from here, and it is receiving great reviews.

    I hope that helps!
