    Hi,

    I would first like to thank you for providing the useful plug-in.

    I already optimized the image by using re-smushit plugin.

    If I use this plug-in to convert the image into a webp file, will it be optimized 85% again? Will the webp file be optimized and not the original image?

    Hi @cheonmu,

    Thank you for your message.

    Original photos are not modified by the plugin. They remain – converted images are saved in another directory.

    Remember, however, that if your photos were heavily compressed before, then the weight reduction will be less noticeable.
