about custom fields example

I activated the plugin and tested link in post works perfect but under the post which is important for me is not working..

I need this field to work.
this is part from single.php file

this is on top of my php file:

$data[‘url’] = get_post_meta($post->ID, “url”, true);

and I think where it shows this is the output:

” target=”_blank” rel=”nofollow” ><?php echo $GLOBALS[‘_LANG’][‘_vps’]; ?>

in one of my situation link appeared like this:
_https://mysite.com/<p>https://otherwebsite.com</p>

I did everything as per your post here:
