    Hi!!!

I searched the FAQ, Knowledge Base and other questions and didn’t find anything about Cron Jobs.

I found it interesting to open this topic to discuss best practices.

Does your plugin have any wp-cron dependency?

On sites that I need maximum performance I usually disable wp-cron, but I configure a real Cron by the server, what is the correct value to configure? And what are the best practices to combine performance and functioning?

Hi @ofmarconi , thanks for the inquiry!

There are no dependencies on crons in the free version of Uncanny Automator. It’s fine to leave them disabled.

In the Pro version, we use the Action Scheduler library instead of crons, but wp-cron must still be enabled (assuming you plan to use scheduled or delayed actions.)

    I understood!

    Very good!
If I generate a real cron by the hosting panel with the time of 5 minutes is an ok value?

    Thanks!

Sorry @ofmarconi , we’re not sure how to answer this one, as it is host-specific. What you suggest should be fine though.

    Thank you, got it.

What I wanted to confirm is that at most the delay will be 5 minutes if my wp-cron is set to 5 minutes.

    Thanks!

    Yes, that’s fine, thanks!
