about CPU usage

    Hello!

    This plugin is great, and the blog I had been getting spam comments now have zero! I am very happy about it but I recently, I am getting into a little bit of trouble.

    I am hosting my wordpress with a share host, and I have been getting very slow page load because I am using 100% of my limited CPU usage. I am trying to figure out what cause that to happen.

    I would like to know if Anti-Spam use a lot of extra CPU power to load? Thank you! Your information will be great help!

  • Anti-spam needs very little amount of CPU.
    I am 99,99% sure that it could not be the reason of 100% CPU usage.

    I ran a P3 (Plugin Performance Profiler) scan, and Anti Virus did not show up in the list of plugins taking up the most load time (it was in the “Other” list). Out of 1.524 seconds of plugin load time (I run 18 plugins on the site I tested) Anti Span used 0.0095 seconds.

    It is very difficult to measure an individual plugin’s cpu usage, but load time is a good indicator, and as you can see, Anti Spam does not take much time to load.
