About changing red color in Hiero theme to sky blue

  • Hi Charlie and folks. I want to change the color red in Hiero theme to sky blue. That color shows up in menu and comment count as I can recall. I want it to be sky blue. Please help. I see the .css file but I am not sure where to change the color.

    All you need to do is open the CSS file and replace all the hex values for the red with hex values for the blue.

    Really? That easy? I thought you weren’t supposed to change css because it will be overwritten when you update the theme. Sorry to be so ignorant…I’m a newbie. Is that not true?

    Yes but you need to have a Child Theme where you do all the CSS edits so when the parent theme updates you dont lose anything since they are in your childs theme ??

    Thanks. Child themes are also new to me, so I’ll go read up on it.
