I’m really excited to announce the release of BuddyDrive 1.3.0. This release is introducing a major change: the plugin is now using the BuddyPress Attachments API to manage the user uploads. This means, 1.3.0 absolutely requires BuddyPress 2.3+.
If you haven’t updated to BuddyPress 2.3+ (< you really should), do not update to BuddyDrive 1.3.0.
As usual, before upgrading the plugin, make sure to backup your WordPress (files and database), if anything goes wrong it will be easier for you to come back to your configuration.
BuddyDrive 1.3.0-beta was available for testing since june 2nd (see my personal blog or WPTavern’s excellent post about it). As i had no bug report till today, this should mean everything is ok ??
If something goes wrong for you, i’ll be very sorry and try to find a fix as quick as possible. But please, note that maintaining a plugin takes time and it’s always best to prevent than to fix. So for next upgrade you should really consider giving me a hand during the beta periods of the plugin by testing it.
