    I’m totally new to WP so please forgive the newbie questions. I searched the forums but didn’t find an answer to two issues I’m having.
    1. I created and published an “About Us” page but how do I place a link to it on my title page?
    2. As of yesterday I have a thick grey box or border at the bottom of my title page photos. I’d like this not to be there. Any suggestions?

  • There are two ways pages can be added to the menu. If you’re using the standard menu, then WordPress adds it automatically, based on the hierarchy you assign it. No parent, it becomes top level menu item, if it has a parent, it will display generally in a drop down based on the sort order.

    Since that isn’t happening, you are probably using a custom menu. Read this to learn how those work:

    As for the grey box, that is the caption area. If your photos don’t have a caption, you wouldn’t see it.

    The color of the caption area might be able to be adjusted by your theme. If not, you could change it through your CSS file.

    Theme related questions should be asked in the forum dedicated to that theme. You’ll find the Nano Blogger support forum here:

    If you need to change the CSS, look for this and change the color code. If you want white, change it to #fff or just remove the background line completely.

    .wp-caption {
    background: #eee;
