I have sent several tests, which worked perfectly.
And I have sent my newsletter to 250+ in the past.
But now, nothing happens when I press [Send]
Is there a step by step diagnostic procedure?
It could be my host, although the worked properly.
But before I engage my hosting company I will need some evidence of the problem.
Any chance you can make some suggestions, or point me to some suggestions?

    Thanks!

I found the found the Newsletter Diagnostic page and turned on logging.
This message seems to come out every couple minutes:

    DEBUG – 40.8 MB – hook_newsletter> Start
    DEBUG – 40.8 MB – hook_newsletter> Emails found in sending status: 0
    DEBUG – 40.8 MB – hook_newsletter> End

After “triggering” the engine, I waited a few minutes and found the same messages popup up, with “53.1 MB”, and subsequently returned to 40.8 in the next message and all subsequent messages.

It looks like it didn’t even try to send.

Hi, the log is reporting the “problem”:

“Emails found in sending status: 0”

Have you press “send” on the newsletter you composed?

    Stefano.

I don’t see any [Send] button on the Newsletter list. Do I need to enter [Edit] and then press [Send]?

    Yes.

What is the probability that I am the only person in the world who never thought of going back into the editor to send a newsletter after clicking on the “Test and Save” button? … especially when there is a “Trigger the Delivery Engine” button staring us in the face?

May be this problem is shared by other users which didn’t finally take the time to ask this question, I don’t know. The delivery engine is a different thing and that button will be removed in the future.

I think the best place to have a send button (with a pause button and so on is on the editing/config panel of a single newsletter, but of course is a matter of taste).

A send button can be added even to the newsletter list, maybe I’ll take this change into consideration for a future release.

    Thank you, Stefano.

Another thing: the save and test button does not bring back to the newsletter list, you should be kept on the editing panel.

oh … okay, my bad. Anyway, once I left that window, I guess the “trigger delivery” seems so obviously the right thing to click on that I never thought to go back into the editor.

For the most part I think your plugin is well designed, but its really difficult to navigate the various windows and see the big picture. Obviously, this hasn’t stop it from becoming one of the most popular wordpress plugins on the planet. But I am sure I am not the only one who has lost a day or more just trying to figure out how to use it.
