    Hi there,

Thanks for the plugin – works as intended and dug me out of a hole with permalinks when using a custom post type and custom taxonomy.

I am using a custom taxonomy which is assigned to the default WP posts type. Is there a way to enable the taxonomy permalinks to be rewritten in the same way that they are for custom post types?

In my case, I have a taxonomy called ‘section’, with terms including ‘topics’. The makes the URLs: example.com/section/topics/.
I would like to omit the middle part, so it reads: example.com/topics/.

This works with another CPT and custom taxonomy e.g.
    example.com/recipes/recipe-type/term-a/ becomes example.com/recipes/term-a/.

I’d like to have consistency across my site.

    Thanks!

No. Sorry. Plugin works only for custom post types.

Thanks for the reply. Is there any functionality within your plugin that I can adapt to apply as a single function for Posts?

Hi @curioustoad, I do not understand your question. The plugin code is publicly available. You can check everything.

Sorry, looking back, I didn’t write the question very clearly.

I’m not experienced enough in PHP to know where to rip out/replicate the functionality in your plugin to use it for standard post types.

My guess is that your plugin makes the terms available for the permalink structure i.e. URL/%terms%/%postname%/ etc?

My plugin provides its own permalinks structure. There is no fixed pattern.
