Ability theme- hw do i activate multisite

My company has bought ability theme. Firstly will this be on a host service? Secondly, they want to have multisite activated on this. So do I need admin permission for this and what is the procedure for activating it. I have worked on multisite on localhost but dont know how to do it on an external host service Please help.
