I’m not sure if this is the place where I would post. I apologize in advance if it isn’t. I looked for the specific plugin, but nothing came up.

Woocommerce Abandoned Cart Recovery by Addify provides emails such as Pending Order and Abandoned Cart in the woocommerce, settings, email tab and instructs you to create email template to send the emails manually. I’m confused.

Wouldn’t the Abandon Cart and Pending Order emails already there (in the Emails tab of Woocommerce Settings) be already triggered by an abandoned cart? Why do I need to create other templates? If I do, do I need to deactivate the ones in the Email tab? Additionally, the emails included in the Emails tab are synchronized with an Email Customizer that helps me create branded messages. I don’t see this option in the Email Template tab of this plugin. How can I connect these emails with the Email Customizer?

    Any help is appreciated:)

    Thank you!

    Hello sarana01

    Thanks for contacting WooCommerce support!

Please do not apologize. We’re here to help answer your questions, and we’re glad you reached out.

It’s important to note that abandoned cart emails are not a part of the core WooCommerce functionality. WooCommerce does provide a “New Order” email notification, which is triggered when a new order is received and informs the customer that their order is being processed.

Regarding the Woocommerce Abandoned Cart Recovery by Addify plugin, since it’s a third-party plugin distinct from WooCommerce’s built-in options, the emails related to abandoned carts or pending orders that it generates operate independently of those in the WooCommerce settings.

Creating separate templates as instructed by the plugin allows for specialized handling of these scenarios outside of what WooCommerce offers by default.

In this case, you wouldn’t necessarily need to deactivate the standard emails in the WooCommerce Email settings unless they are conflicting or redundant with your abandoned cart setup.

However, for details on how to properly configure the plugin and use it alongside an Email Customizer, I recommend reaching out directly to Addify’s support team. They would be the best point of contact to answer specific questions about their plugin’s features and integration with other tools.

They can provide you with detailed guidance on how to connect their email templates with your Email Customizer, or if that’s feasible within their current plugin setup.

If you have any more questions regarding WooCommerce features or need further assistance, feel free to get in touch. ??
