When logged in as a customer with the same state as the store, sales tax is being calculated on the cart page. For example, two $8 products, subtotal $16, MD sales tax is $0.96. Problem is, that sales tax is being added to the individual product prices when the abandoned cart email is sent out. So, in the example above, the product price shows as $8.48. This is confusing at best. Is there a way to fix this?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

In our Abandoned Cart Lite plugin, we are adding the tax on the individual product line item then we also add it to the subtotal. I’m able to replicate the same on our staging server.

I totally agree that adding the tax price on the product price is confusing and it is wrong.

It would be great if you can help us and answer our question’s so we can make a change in our plugin and server it much better.

Can you please let me know that you want to calculate the tax direct on the “Cart Total” of the products in the abandoned cart reminder email.

    Please check the screenshot: https://screencast.com/t/1EPkePCCE

Or you would like to have one new row which states the tax price. We can add a new row before the Cart Total as the “tax” and then we can add the tax price into the cart total price.

I just sent the email. Seems like the second option you give above makes the most sense.

    Thanks!

I’m experiencing the same issue and also agree that the second option you give above makes the most sense. Was there a resolution on how to get this to work? Thank you in advance for your help!
