• Is this plugin abandoned? I’m unable to retrieve a token: Failed retrieving OAuth2 access token: {“message”:”Credentials are required to access this resource.”

I updated my mendeley account to the Elsevier and it didn’t work so I switched it back and it doesn’t work.

So, since this hasn’t been updated in long time, I have to ask: Has it been abandoned?

What are people using instead and how was the migration?

    Thanks in advance.

Edit: I recently updated to php 7.2 which could be the problem…

  • The plugin works fine for me. Mendeley/Elsevier made some changes so recently I had to create a new app in order to make it work.

Thanks for your reply! Do you know what version of php you’re using?

I haven’t tried creating a new app. Maybe that’s the trick. I was trying to retrofit my old one.

    Thanks again!

Hi! The plugin still works fine for me too – with PHP 7.2. Regarding the “abandoned”: I did not update the plugin for a while since it worked fine – But I have recently started to address some PHP warnings and to change some minor things for better compatibility with WordPress 5.4. The update will be available in the next few days.

Thanks for your reply! You have no idea how happy that makes me. Seriously. So happy.
I just updated my php and saw those errors and then the Elsevier thing and then no updates in a while so my brain went to abandonment.

I’ll create a new app tomorrow and that should do it, at least functionally.
So glad you’re still here! Thanks for this awesome plugin.
    Cheers.
