AAM causing missing admin.php?page=

Serveral settings/options page links are shortend somehow, specifically the “admin.php?page=” part of the url is missing.
I’m using wordpress (4.1.1) multisite with AAM (2.8.5) and a couple of users (different roles) have experienced this issue. I’ve tried deactivating AAM and that seems to resolve the issue, but I need help to figure out what in AAM causes this so I can continue using it.
