    Hi, I am trying to activate A2 Fixed Total Cache but it is giving me this error message:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘:’ in /home/sotmaudi/public_html/sotmwp/wp-content/plugins/a2-w3-total-cache/inc/define.php(561) : eval()’d code on line 1.

    Can someone tell me what is causing this problem and how to fix it?

    Thank you!

    Hello,

    We have an internal ticket for this issue and are investigating.

    Thanks!

    I tried activating it again but it is now showing this error:

    Fatal error: Cannot redeclare w3_instance().

    Can you look at this one too?

    I’ve searched for solutions about the Fatal Error and one solution is changing the code to only require/include the function once.

    Can you confirm this?

    Also, are you able to edit my question as I feel like it has sensitive information?

    Thanks.

    The original issue we found that is usually caused by a corrupted config file. Disabling the plugins and confirming that you have enough inode / disk space before re-enabling will properly re-create the config file for you.

    The second issue is that there another plugin or theme trying to do something with the caching plugin, but not handling it correctly.
