A way to show if the code is already activated?

Loving this plugin so far. It solves about 50% of my problems.
Though I was wondering if there is some way to show in the post when the code is activated. Before another person tries to enter the code. I’m using the plugin in a kind of a scavenger hunt so many people can get the code.
Only the first one will get the file though. To save people the trouble it would be great to show when the code has already been used.
