@jmd87fr Sorry it took so long to reply; I just saw this. Can you please post a link to the source of this information? FWIW, the current version of the plugin is 1.2.41. You should update ASAP.

Actually, I know the cause of this warning. The Freemius SDK used to manage the PRO version of the plugin had a zero-day vulnerability which has since been patched. The current version of the Five Star Ratings Shortcode plugin uses the patched version.

As long as you update to v1.2.39 or later you should be safe.

    Hi,

Please post a URL where I can see the warning (or at least to a page where you are using the shortcode).

Technically this is a new issue so it would be best to start a new support thread since the previous issue was resolved.

I think I know what’s causing this & will be pushing an update this week. Can you share a link to a page or post where you are actually using the shortcode?

On that page, the stars are not rendering.

I looked at the JavaScript console and you have multiple errors on the page, none of them related to Five-Star Ratings Shortcode. But they are probably preventing the Five-Star Ratings Shortcode scripts from running, so unless you resolve them, it will not work.

    Hoo OK ??
can you tell me how to see these errors? please

In Chrome: Command+Option+C (Mac) or Control+Shift+C (Windows, Linux, ChromeOS) to open Chrome Inspector. Click on the “Console” tab. Errors will be listed, along with the scripts that are producing the errors. You may need to contact the developers of the plugins or themes that are generating the errors if you are not technical.

OK. Look for the update sometime this weekend and let me know if it stopped the PHP error (Notice: Trying to get property ‘post_content’ of non-object in /home/xx/public_html/wp-content/plugins/five-star-ratings-shortcode/includes/class-five-star-ratings-shortcode.php on line 494).

Update released. This should fix the PHP warning you were getting on some pages. Please let me know if it resolves the issue.

Can you confirm that this update made the PHP error go away?
