• Hi all

I am mainly a designer, not so much a programmer. But I have been building WP templates for some time, using Artisteer (I know I know, it sucks, but I am too old to start learning to write code for all of it from scratch), successfully. Till my latest template where I have done perhaps more in the code than ever. It is looking good and a lot of the functionality I’ve added works fine. But today I was testing to see that the “Search” works normally when I hit the strange problem that the search results show the layout, but boxed in.

    To clarify:
the template is one where the layout is in centre of the browser window, but the colour of the various bands spans the whole window, 100%.
In the serach result page though it only shows the centre layout with the default white background fro the browser around it. I’ve never come across this before.

    The URL is https://test.fluxink.com/wordpress.

Could someone else try this and tell me what any of you think is happening?

Thanks a lot in advance. And I look forward to hearing from anyone of the wonderful experts here.

OK worked it out sort of.

I had made a .search class, to make the search box at the top stay in alignment with the body of the site. But that was for some reason taking away the background. I removed the CSS for this an now the search box is on the right of the bar…

    Confused. You bet.
