• I’m really new to Word Press and using PHP so this may sound like a really stupid question but I’d like to know how to install it or what do I change so that my URL reads https://www.domainnamehere.com instead of https://www.domainnamehere.com/index.php ***disregard these urls***
When I logged in and tried to change the URLs in the OPTIONS area I ended up losing all formatting whatsoever and had to uninstall and reinstall word press. What’s odd is that the URLs in that area show them the way they should be but you don’t see the blog unless you add that index.php to the end of it.
    Make sense? Hope so!

ok please disregard those URLs! I didn’t realize that “domainnamehere” was really a website! So you can look at mine here: https://www.redheaded8itch.com and https://www.redheaded8itch.com/index.php to see what I mean.

This isn’t as much a WP problem as it is a problem with the webhost. Web servers are set up to look for a series of documents when one isn’t sepcified. Usualy it’s index.html followed by index.htm, followed by index.php…… since the site has an index.html (which can be checked for by typing index.html after your url) it loads it. Delete the index.html file, and it will find your index.php.

Thanks so much! That was an easy enough fix! I really appreciate the help!
