    I deleted a custom field with the list of items, and when I created another one with the same items as the list it shows the message: “A term with the name provided already exists in this taxonomy” but I can’t delete it to create this new list with the same items.

    Thank you for reaching out!

    I checked this issue by creating a custom field with a type of select. Then I added custom field options with a slug “test” (Screenshot).

    Then I tried to create custom field options with the same slug and received an error that you described (Screenshot). You cannot create options with the same slug when the previous one exists.

    Next, I deleted the previously created custom field option (Screenshot) and added it again, the problem which you described not occurred (Screenshot).

    Make sure, that you removed all existing taxonomies completely before adding new ones with the same slug. If the problem persists, please describe your steps in detail with screenshots.
