A (sort of) clutter free admin dashboard

I know many people, myself included, are kind of annoyed at how cluttered the admin dashboard is in WP.

Most people don’t care about the latest wordpress planet posts, most people don’t need a big welcoming paragraph or any of that.

Anyways, I basically did a slight modification of the admin dashboard to get rid of the extra stuff. I took out the admin links, took out the planet news and all that, and just put in a few links to key wordpress sites (support forums, codex, etc.).

This is hardly earth-shaking, and hardly going to revolutionize the blogging industry or anything, but I like it, and others might as well.

I’ve written up a post on it, and if you go there you can get the admin file. Save it as index.php, then go into /wordpress install/wp-admin and replace the index.php file with the one you just downloaded.

Then enjoy the simplicity.
