A shortcode to display Relevanssi’s result template?

  • Hi,

    I’m trying to get Relevanssi working with Elementor and Dynamic.ooo – I think a way to achieve it might be if I can use Relevanssi’s template for a single search result.

    So is there a shortcode or some other way to display Relevanssi’s single search result?

    Relevanssi doesn’t have any templates; it uses whatever templates your theme provides.

    Nothing, of course, stops you from creating a shortcode that displays a single post, but I have a feeling that won’t actually solve your problem.

    What is, exactly, the problem?

    The root of the problem is that I’m using Elementor and Relevanssi, and I want Relevanssi’s sexy highlighted excerpt to appear, but it doesn’t.

    Relevanssi places the highlighted excerpts to $post->post_excerpt. If you can get the template to use the_excerpt() to print out the excerpt, that’s all it should take. Elementor support forums may be more helpful for figuring out how to do that; I don’t know Elementor well.
