  • WordPress runs scheduled tasks by a process known as wp-cron. The limitation is this need web visitors to run. So there is an issue where a low number of visitors or say all visitors are during the day of specific time zone.

    You can replace wp-cron with ‘real cron’ and most major hosts have tutorials on how to do this.

    But note, not all hosts have the same tools available so best to find a tutorial for you specific host setup.

    I see.
    I’ll disable WP Cron then, as I already have a real cron set up.

    Well if you have real cron set up and something is late then it maybe your real cron isn’t correctly set up
