    Hey guys!!
I would really appreciate a review of a site I have labored over. I have posted it here before, but it is now ~complete~… I hope…. downeastcyclingclub.com

I have pulled some stuff off here I am proud of- the major being seamlessly integrating Simple Machines Forum 1.1.4, which imHo is a great forum that somebody should write a plug-in for ??

Anyway, it validates… and is widgetized…

I was shooting for a newspaper type layout, three columns and subheadings, just like looking at a newspaper and not one online, but I drifted a little bit from my first notion… It still resembles a newspaper somewhat though…

I would really like to hear what the experts think!

    thanks in advance….

You could add some more whitespace in the center colum. Just make more paragraphs. Also i think it would look great if your line-height was a little bigger.

Not bad actually, I’d recommend using a bit more margin on top and bottom of the sidetitles & generally adjusting line-heights to provide a little ‘air’ to the texts and lists.

Welp- I will indeed increase the whitespace and margins.. I try to use different monitors to view in- the one on my laptop max’s at 1100px.

This should force me to use percentages as opposed to absolute widths which the columns are right now. I used the absolute as a means to ensure the forum and the gallery fit in nicely.

One issue I was having some time back was with IE, and the right column dropping down to below the main content. I think it still happen in safari- according to some screen-shots I snagged off the web….

I am working on another biking club website right now which is much more fluid, and doesn’t suffer from these things- but shares the same basic layout. I really like how the widgets work in that one, and will likely bring it over to this one now that I think about it….

    I do appreciate the feedback!
