Hi, the problem is that the image you’ve set as the featured image on the article (or as the main image in the general settings) is too small –

https://www.tunisdauphine.tn/wp-content/uploads/dauphin.jpg is 50×21 but the minimal size of a valid image that can be used is 50×50 and the aspect ration (width / height) cannot be bigger than 3:1

you can specify the og:image by setting the value of “Image URL” in “General Settings” see https://wp-connect.tomasvorobjov.com/docs/#configure
or for individual posts/pages by setting a featured image

Awesome, it worked like a charm
But why was it working sometimes (on some pages, articles) and not others
    Thank you very much though

I’m not sure, if a particular post has a featured image set that one would be used instead of the generic one (dauphin.jpg), also, it is possible some pages might have had the meta data cached by Facebook.

    Cool
    Hope it helps someone else

    Scibuff,
I still have a problem, but not sure it comes from plugin
If I like a page or article from that same domain, https://www.tunisdauphine.tn then the french characters are replaced with other characters on facebook. so an é gives a ??

    Any idea?

Hi, yes this is an issue with incorrect encoding which I should be able to fix with a new update. Let me work on it.

Meanwhile, you can change this text for every post by entering a version without accents into the excerpt field (when an excerpt is present, it will be used instead of the first 200 chars of the post’s content)

Actually I don’t see the excerpt, where can I change it?

usually you can add an excerpt for every new post – the text area for the excerpt should be just below the the textarea for the post’s content

I’m using it on a page and there is no excerpt for pages as far as I can see.
    What else shall I do?

Actually, I even tried it on a post, modifying the excerpt and no clue, still facebook is badly encoding (or decoding) the accents ??
    Any clue?

I’ve just released 2.0.3 that will fix this problem … you may need to reset Facebook’s cache for pages which have been liked before … simply use the URL Linter tool – https://developers.facebook.com/tools/lint/ (just enter the URL of the post for which you’d like to reset the cache)

Looking nicer indeed, thanks a lot
the lint tool is a must though as I just understood that fb shows a cached version even after a change…
    Thx again
