    Feeds can be impacted by plugins and themes. Please disable all plugins (temporarily) and use a default WordPress theme (twentyfifteen). Test example.com/rss in your browser. This will either toggle your RSS news reader or display XML-like display of your site’s RSS feed. So now we know that the feeds work in a base WordPress configuration. If not, then we may need to check server logs and see if there is a larger server configuration issue.

    Next we’ll test your theme. Re-enable your theme and do the same test. Do the feeds still work? Great. If not, contact the theme developer for support.

    If the theme works, we move on to plugins. Enable a plugin and do the same test – everything work? Great. If not contact that plugins developer for support. Eventually you’ll be able to track down what is causing your site to not display its RSS feed.
