A quantum shift…
-
Groundhogg represents a quantum shift in how we, as marketers, should be thinking about our technology stack. One of the most important, and expensive components have always been paying “by the lead” for email list hosting. This has always rubbed me the wrong way because, in the end, it doesn’t cost any more to host 100 leads versus 10,000. But services tend to charge crazy prices as your list grows. Essentially taxing you for success. That has always felt a little parasitic. And to top it off, they all have “EULAs” that restrict certain kinds of marketing… Affiliate, etc.
Enter Groundhogg… now, instead of renting, you OWN. There are no list size limitations, or EULAs to contend with. GH takes some effort to set up, but that’s a one-time investment and after that, the integration with your WordPress user database and other things makes GH a head-slapping no-brainer.
GH feels a little like what buying expensive veggies from Whole Foods, versus tending your own garden must feel like.
