  • I’m not sure what you want. WP has built-in archive support. Can you tell me more detail of what you want to do?

I want to creat an Archive page

WordPress themes usually have Archive pages built in. An archive is nothing but a set of posts that meet certain conditions, such as all posts in a category, or all posts from a certain date, or all posts by a certain author, etc.

Have you tried to use the Archives Widget that comes with WP? You can drag and drop it into a sidebar in your theme to see what the default archive list is like.

I did, and it works fine. But what I’m looking for is to have archives in a page and not on the sidebar

I’m very interested in this alos

Alright, try the template found here. Click ‘Download Raw’ under ‘Paste Actions’ on the left. Select all of the code and save it to gurarchive.php in your theme’s folder.

Create a page and assign this as the template. Now when you view that page, you should see the archive list. This is set up for the default theme, so you may need to modify it for your theme.
