A plugin with a great potential

I will run a site about personal development and I repurposed this plugin for members to list projects. I think that it can do that work, even if I would need some custom fields. I had to rename the “first name” field to use it as date of the beginning of a project.

Some problems :
-maps dont work
-it is not translation ready. The po files dont include all the words used by the plugin and you have to edit many core files, which is really a headache. The developer made recenty some improvements and I hope he will continue.

The great potential of this plugin is that, as it is integrated with Buddypress, you can use it (after repurposing) to offer a personal space to your members. They can write pages to present projects, ideas, experiences, travel souvenirs and everything they like and they could monitor everything from their profile.

If the developer makes improvements towards this direction (editing tools, subtitle, custom fields, easy embeds etc) this tool will become the #1 tool for any webmaster who offers wp-based social network.

I will give it 4 stars, because it needs improvement.

Note to the developer: take seriously the “personal pages” orientation of the plugin. It will be a real succes, because a tool like this is really missing.
