A nice theme

  • A very nice theme but a little more customisation is required. Site tagline is required. Menu bar is smaller (but very nice for chinese version). Footer needs customisation. It is fixed. I liked colour combination and side bar.

    Overall it is very nice. I’ll say very good. I’ll use it when it can be more customised. Go Ahead Author! ??

    Your next step is to create a backup of your header.php and style.css. Then, just upload my modified version (the one you saw at https://ameri-techs.com) and overwrite the originals. You could also just copy and paste the contents via the WordPress theme editor.

    I appreciate your time and help but i do not know how to do this. I downloaded the zip file and opening that I found two files. They just open in Adobe GoLive if I open them. For some reason I thought that they were going to be text files that I could copy into my child theme.

    I do not know how to upload/replace individual files in my theme. Is there some other area other than the wordpress–>editor?

    Are you opposed to me helping out. Maybe a remote assistance? The two files will open in a standard text editor. They are 1 php file and 1 .css file. I modified both using gedit on ubuntu. Notepad++ works great on windows fyi…

    Also,
    If you have host your own site you could go to your website root /wp-content/themes/zalive/and replace header.php and style.css with the 2 I sent you.

    Or,
    Setup a temp account with write privileges to your wp-admin and I will make the changes. I am just here to help. I understand if you don’t want me to access your site though.

    Thanks a bunch. I got it figured out. I didn’t realize I could open the files you sent me in texteditor (I’m running OSX). They just kept opening in Adobe GoLive. I don’t host my own account. Thanks you again
