    The free version is essential for a simple WordPress membership setup. It is very straightforward to create custom roles and manage capabilities and few other things like basic navigation, widget and login redirect permission assignments.

    The pro version is a must for WP installations that have many types of users utilizing different aspects of the website. Finer granularity permissions for things like menu, widget, media, custom post type are easy when you have an design is so well thought out and easy to use. It saved me a lot of time on my multisite installation. I highly recommend it, it’s worth every penny.
