A much needed question to be responded

Ok, so I have a sim site (E-sims) my main goal in using wordpress is being able to add my content, change layouts easier then opening up FTP and editing pages, my question is when I’m adding a page, I want to use tables so that my previews are side by side in rows, I’m not sure how to do that in wordpress..if you take a look at my site you’ll see what I mean, and this is my attempt in trying to use plain HTML to to make tables, but it doesn’t look right.

Is there an easier way to make tables?

Also, when I go to presentation to edit like the sidebar and stuff, is says if this were writeable I’d be able to edit it, how do I make it writeable? do I chomd it? if so whats the value
